About Yuu Busshouzan

A Relaxing Inn in a Land of Eternity

Takamatsu is one of the world's most notable tourist destinations in the 21st century and the birthplace of Kobo Daishi Kukai, one of the most important figures in Japanese history. Among many other attractive areas of the city, Busshouzan area still retains the most of its history. We named the inn "Yuu Busshouzan" in the hope that our guests will enjoy their stay in this eternal land with a sense of serenity and peace.

Designed by Tokyo and New York based architect Masatoyo Ogasawara, this completely renovated old private house from the Edo period, surrounded by Japanese gardens on three sides, offers over 1,000 square meters of space for a relaxing stay. Enjoy the traditional rooms and the changing seasonal scenery of the Japanese garden to yourself.

Japanese Garden and Architecture, Space for Relaxation and Tranquility

In 2022, we renovated both the traditional wooden house built in the Edo period and the modern architecture built in the Showa period. Enjoy the seasonal changes of the Japanese garden on three sides of the house.

From Udon Noodle to Contemporary Art

The historic city of Takamatsu offers not only historical landmarks such as Konpira-gu Shrine, Ritsurin Park, and Takamatsu Castle, but also many gourmet attractions such as famous udon places, exquisite restaurants, and secret bars.
